A youngtimer landed in the workshop – the first '3 Series', badged E21, from BMW.
Work began with a full restoration of the front brake calipers – the process included disassembly, sandblasting, orange powder-coating, then overhauling the working components and reassembly. One caliper had a cracked casting, which caused brake fluid leaks and a real safety hazard – the problem was effectively eliminated.
In parallel, the rear anchor plates were repaired and powder-coated, keeping the whole set colour-consistent. Everything is topped off with high-quality brake lines, also in orange, which not only improve the look but also increase the reliability of the whole system.
This is only the first stage of the restoration of this exceptional 1977 BMW E21. More work ahead.
